BrowseControl allows
parents to control internet usage by
blocking web sites based on a list of
inappropriate sites called a "blacklist".
The other option is to refuse access to
all sites except those specified in a "whitelist".
Adult content however is available from
more sources than just web pages, it can
be accessed through many peer-to-peer
networks, IRC and newsgroups.
BrowseControl also includes an application
blocker which you can use to block clients
for these networks and a protocol blocker
which can be used to restrict protocols
such as IRC and NNTP.
