| Application
Blocking:
The Application
Blocking feature lets the
administrator build a “black list” of
programs that users will no longer be able
to run from their PCs. Administrators can
quickly and easily block users from
running dangerous, time-wasting, nuisance
or bandwidth consuming applications such
as Peer-To-Peer / File-sharing software (KaZaa,
Morpheus, Gnutella, Napster, iMesh,
LimeWire, WinMX, eDonkey, mIRC), instant
messaging programs (MSN Messenger, AIM,
Yahoo! Instant Messenger, ICQ, Trillian)
programs or specific games. Browse Control
is bullet proof since it uses the
software’s internal Windows name, so power
users who decide to re-name their .exe
files to scam Browse Control won’t make
it.
